Zion’s Houze serves as a bridge between the needs of the Angleton, TX community and the resources required to meet those needs. One of the organization’s several programs includes helping the community conserve water. Recognizing that the community’s water tables are drying up and there are currently no mechanisms in place to prevent it, Zion’s Houze educates Native American and rural communities about the critical importance of converting sewage water into potable water. This initiative aims to preserve the natural water table, reduce pollution and promote sustainable water usage. Zion’s Houze also works to ensure homes are safe, accessible and comfortable for seniors and veterans by offering a range of services from minor home repairs to housing assistance. The group also supports youth and juvenile nutrition awareness by educating young people about healthy eating habits, promoting the benefits of growing their own food and providing the knowledge and tools to cultivate gardens.
