Zachary Crow grew up in Arkansas, where the tension between injustice and resilience shaped his path as a writer, organizer, and creative communication strategist. His work was deeply influenced by his time at the Open Door Community in Atlanta, where he lived alongside formerly incarcerated and unhoused people in a community rooted in radical hospitality and resistance. Since then, he has led campaigns against mass incarceration, collaborated with incarcerated people to tell their stories, and helped build movements across the South.
