Regional “Reggie" Carrillo is a born and raised Sonoran desert native. He is an educator, nonprofit and community leader advancing environmental justice, sustainability, climate resilience, and racial justice. He is the Founder of AZ(LAND) Fund, where he builds community-led initiatives to strengthen environmental education and stewardship in the Sonoran Desert and supports equitable just climate solutions and transitions across Arizona. Carrillo also served on the Phoenix Elementary School District #1 Governing Board, where he championed sustainability, clean energy, and expanded green infrastructure. Carrillo has continue to advocate and organize to ensure Arizona and all her inhabitants are able to survive, thrive, and navigate the ensuing climate crisis.
