Janilyah is a passionate communicator and advocate from Gulfport, Mississippi, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Tougaloo College. With a strong foundation in storytelling, community engagement, and public policy, she brings a deep commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices across the South. Throughout her journey, Janilyah has volunteered with nonprofits and locally owned businesses focused on civic engagement, youth empowerment, and creative entrepreneurship. From organizing campus-wide initiatives and voter education drives to managing social media for local event companies, she blends strategy with heart to drive meaningful change. At Anthropocene Alliance, Janilyah is excited to continue working at the intersection of advocacy, culture, and community organizing.
