Chris Williams was born and raised in New Orleans' Gentilly community—an area decimated by levee failures during Hurricane Katrina. After Katrina Chris was inspired to be a community organizer and began his career in Ohio in 2008 with the AFL-CIO's Working America affiliate. Since then, he has organized across the country for different political campaigns from Barack Obama to most recently Kamala Harris. Having witnessed firsthand the environmental impacts of climate change, Chris is committed to organizing communities to impact policies that affect the most vulnerable.
