The Louisiana League of Conscious Voters (LLCV) continues the long legacy of African-American efforts to secure voting rights. Despite significant legal advancements, voter suppression persists, with new discriminatory laws threatening to disenfranchise Black and Latino voters. Founded in 2021, LLCV is dedicated to exceptional outreach, education, and advocacy to empower Black Louisianians to understand their rights and address pressing environmental challenges. LLCV provides New Orleans residents with crucial knowledge and resources to combat toxicity and pollution while advocating for healthier and safer living conditions. Additionally, LLCV supports former inmates through innovative urban agriculture projects, fostering community collaboration, growth, and sustainability. Committed to environmental justice and sustainable practices, LLCV strives to uplift the community by offering high-quality resources in a safe and secure environment, working towards a more just, equitable, and resilient future for all.
