Jonathan Gartin was raised in Springfield, Missouri, and now lives in St. Louis. He studied economics at Missouri State University to better understand how to build an economy that works for everyone. A longtime advocate for workers’ rights, he previously worked as an organizer with Missouri Jobs with Justice, where he helped lead the campaign to pass Prop A—a ballot initiative to secure paid sick leave and raise the minimum wage. Deeply connected to Missouri’s wilderness, Jonathan is also passionate about conservation and environmental protection.
